Detroit, MI - January 18, 2010 - The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) will once again host an amateur photography contest sponsored by WWJ Newsradio 950, beginning Tuesday, January 19, at Cobo Center. The contest offers early admission to the NAIAS show floor on Tuesday morning at 8:00 a.m. (purchase of admission ticket is required) and attendees can bring their cameras and take pictures of the hundreds of vehicles on the show floor. Winners will be selected in five categories, with each winning entry receiving a cash prize of $200.

"With the cars serving as the stars of the show, we're excited to 'see' the show through the eyes our guests as we encourage amateur artists to show us the 2010 NAIAS from their perspective," said Doug Fox, chairman, 2010 NAIAS. "With tens of thousands of people passing through the doors of Cobo Center every day, the opportunity to enter the show floor an hour early is something we're really encouraging people to take advantage of. There won't be a better opportunity to photograph the range of vehicle seen here from economical hybrids, to top-of-the-line luxury models."

With the addition of the all-new Electric Avenue presented by The Dow Chemical Company, and the return of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) EcoXperience, a new category has been added this year for electric vehicles. Winners will be selected in the following categories:

• Black & White photos
• Convertibles, Coupes & Concepts
• Coolest Close-Up
• Electric Vehicles
• Luxury

Photos can be submitted at www.naias.com, and entries can be taken any day of the Public Show,  January 16-24, 2010. All entries must be submitted by 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2010.
