TROY, Mich., Nov. 2, 2011 - The North American
International Auto Show (NAIAS) 2012 announced today that online
media registration is now open, and credential applications are
being accepted for Press Preview, which will be held Jan. 9-10,
2012, at Cobo Center in Detroit.
With only 69 days until Press Preview, semi-trucks are rolling
in daily, loaded with exhibit material used to transform Cobo
Center into the focal point of the automotive community.
Journalists are strongly encouraged to go online at naias.com/media/credentials.aspx
to apply for the necessary credentials to cover one of the
preeminent auto shows in the world. To receive a credential
by mail, journalists must apply during the early registration
period that ends Dec. 16, 2011. After Dec. 16, journalists may
still register online, but will need to pick up credentials at Cobo
Center just prior to the Press Preview.
NAIAS also encourages journalists to begin making travel plans
now. The NAIAS offers all the information needed online at naias.com/travel-directions/location.aspx
to aid in travel to the Motor City. This site features links to
area hotels, affiliated airlines, maps for parking, shuttles to the
show, international travel information as well as a complete list
of local attractions.
The NAIAS is a must attend event for automotive
journalists, who will be the first to view the exciting
worldwide and North American vehicle introductions. In addition to
the spectacular new vehicles, the 5,000+ journalists from 55+
countries will have access to the top decision makers from the
global automotive industry during the full two-day press conference
schedule.
