As the first official event of the Public Days for  the North American International Auto Show, the Auto Show Shuffle 5K is a great opportunity for walkers and runners of all skill levels to get involved in the Auto Show in a unique way. If you're an Auto Show fan and are looking for a way to get active with your friends and family, the Auto Show Shuffle 5K Run/Walk is the perfect way to kick off your day!

Auto Show Shuffle

The Auto Show Shuffle celebrates the city's rich automotive history and physical activity opportunities. The course will wind participants through Detroit, along the Detroit riverfront, across the Dequindre Cut and will end just in time for the opening of the Public Show. Participants in the 2015 Auto Show Shuffle will receive a commemorative tech-shirt, discount admission to the Auto Show and a special Auto Show Shuffle medal.

The event is the combination of efforts among five organizations that have a shared passion for showing people how to get active in Detroit. Participating organizations include: The Governor's Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports, the Michigan Fitness Foundation, North American International Auto Show, the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy, and The Parade Company. The Michigan Fitness Foundation is coordinating the Auto Show Shuffle with The Parade Company, a Detroit based organization with years of parade and race planning experience.

Proceeds from the Shuffle will fund physical activity, nutrition and health programs throughout the state through the Michigan Fitness Foundation. To register visit For more information on Michigan Fitness Foundation's programs, or to find more events like the Auto Show Shuffle, visit
