Limited-Time “Buy Now and Save” Discount to be Offered on Public Show Tickets –

The North American International Auto Show (aka Detroit Auto Show), the new indoor and outdoor auto show experience coming to Detroit Sept. 14–25, 2022, announced online media registration opens and all tickets go on sale Monday, July 11.  The event will be held at Huntington Place, Hart Plaza and throughout downtown Detroit.

Tickets will go on sale online for Industry Tech Days, Charity Preview and the Public Show. For a limited time, Adult Public Show single-day tickets will be available at a $5 discount through Aug. 10.  This “Buy Now and Save” discount will be offered online here.

In addition, advance group purchases of 30 or more Adult Public Show tickets will be available at a special price of $12 each if purchased by Sept. 11.  This purchase cannot be combined with other discounts. Purchase group tickets here.

“This year’s Detroit Auto Show is going to have something for everyone – from industry-shaping news to exciting indoor and outdoor ride-and-drives to a reimagined Charity Preview featuring three parties in one,” said Detroit Auto Show Chairman Joe Lunghamer.   “The show will celebrate mobility on land, water and in the skies and feature plenty of ‘wow’ moments visitors and families won’t want to miss.”

Media Credential Registration

Journalists are encouraged to register for the Detroit Auto Show online here and complete the form found on the page. To receive credentials by mail, journalists must apply during the early registration period ending Aug. 15.

After Aug. 15, media may still register online, but will need to collect their credentials in person at Huntington Place on or after Sept. 6. The registration deadline for all media applications is Aug. 31.

Media credentials will be valid Wednesday, Sept. 14 and Thursday, Sept. 15 and are required for entry into the 2022 Detroit Auto Show.  Exclusive Media Day hours will be from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Sept. 14.  Media credentials will be provided to qualified journalists only. To qualify, applicants must be working in print, broadcast or social-based/website media. All individuals entering the show floor with credentials will be required to present additional identification (a current driver’s license or passport) for validation. NAIAS credentials are non-transferable.  Media will have access to the Michelin Media Center during that time.

Industry Tech Days – Preview emerging mobility technologies and engage with innovators, while gaining insights from powerful panel discussions on mobility and electrification trends.  Attendees get access to AutoMobili-D (AMD), presented by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, featuring 80+ technology companies, Tier 1 suppliers and start-ups as well as leading universities.

  • Thursday, Sept. 15 (9 a.m. – 9 p.m.)
    • Tickets: $75 each

Charity Preview – Join in celebrating the return of the black-tie event that raises millions for children’s charities in Southeastern Michigan.  New for 2022, the event will be indoors and outdoors with three stages (including one on the main auto show floor) and three genres of soon-to-be-announced entertainment.

    • Tickets: $400 each or $700 for a pair

Public Show – Explore nine days of new vehicle displays and exhibits at Huntington Place, Hart Plaza and throughout downtown Detroit, ride-and-drives both indoors and outdoors, air mobility demonstrations, family-fun experiences, musical entertainment, auto enthusiast car clubs, street food and much more.
